Today we visited Prehen House, a historic 18th century house across the river from Derry's city center. The following are pictures of the interior and the grounds around the house, as well as the scenic walk back to town. The dog followed us around for the entire tour. I liked her enthusiasm. |
An apparently not-quite-modern piano. It's a little smaller than today's version. |
I want a library that looks like this. |
Apparently Napoleon once owned this cabinet. It was fun looking at yourself in the same mirror in which Napoleon looked at himself. |
You know, just a dead animal on the back of a door. The usual. |
Our faithful tour companion. |
The cat very much wanted to come in and have tea with us. |
Me and Jackie out front! |
The bridge to nowhere? |
The "Hands Across the Divide" statue that you come across right as you cross the bridge into the Derry city center. |
