Hey everybody! So I've created this blog to share some of my favorite pictures from my trip with you. I'm not much for journaling, so I figured a photo-blog was the next best thing. Enjoy!

Final Day In Dublin: Part 1

We had fabulous weather today, although it still managed to rain!
I was amused.
Many flats around Dublin have colorful doors, I suppose to make them easier to find.
Part of Dublin Castle, which is actually a palace. There was originally a castle on the site, but it burned down back in the day, and they rebuilt it in the Georgian palatial style (a la Versailles).
A copy of the proclamation that was read outside of the General Post Office before the Easter Rising of 1916. The men that signed it openly committed treason by doing so, and set the wheels in motion for Irish independence.
The throne that Queen Victoria sat on when she came to Ireland during her rule. She was the last English monarch to come to Ireland, although Queen Elizabeth II is scheduled to come next year. This will be the first time that an English monarch will come to Ireland and not sit on a throne.
Fortitude
Justice. Fun story: One, she isn't blindfolded. Two, when it rains, the water drips down an extended finger into the scales, making the right scale lower than the left. People have noticed.
The one surviving tower of the original Dublin Castle, connected to the modern palace.
Christ Church Cathedral
There was.

  1. The colored doors make me really happy. ^_^

Also, I googled three of the historical things you mentioned. ME: HISTORY. That just happened, because of you. Wow.
